HOPE — Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corp. is reporting its first in-person, confirmed, positive case of COVID-19 from an individual at Hauser Jr./Sr. High School.

“It’s the first positive case that we’ve had of anybody here on campus, student or staff,” said Superintendent Shawn Price.

He clarified that the school corporation is not including remote learning students in its weekly posts regarding case counts.

Price said that from the single confirmed, in-person case, seven confirmed close contacts were identified across the district, and an additional 18 “potential” close contacts were asked to quarantine as well.
