Bartholomew County’s Joint Narcotics Enforcement Task Force and Intelligence-Led Policing units arrested two people after receiving information about a methamphetamine drug-dealing ring in Bartholomew County.
During a traffic stop, Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested Curtis S. Reeve, 53, of 4585 Park Lane, after a substantial amount of drugs was located in his vehicle.
Nathan E. Jost, 30, Nashville, was arrested for driving while suspended with a prior conviction and additional charges were added after the execution of a search warrant, police said.

A large amount of money was also located during the traffic stops.
Following the traffic stops, a search warrant was served at a residence located at 7980 W. Goeller Road, where additional drugs, drug packaging materials and drug-related paraphernalia were located. Police confiscated approximately 119.5 grams (approximately one-quarter pound) of methamphetamine along with packaging material, drug-related paraphernalia and a digital scale.
Reeve was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of Level 2 felony dealing in methamphetamine, Level 3 felony possession of methamphetamine, Class A misdemeanor dealing in marijuana and Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana, Class A misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and Level 6 felony possession of a legend drug, police said. He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $346,000 bond, jail officials said.
Jost was taken to the jail on preliminary charges of Level 2 felony dealing in methamphetamine, Level 3 felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance and driving while suspended with a prior conviction. Jose remains in jail in lieu of $340,000 bond, jail officials said.
Assisting agencies were the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, Columbus Police Department and the sheriff’s department K9 units.
The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team, a combined unit of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office, is proactively targeting the manufacturing and abuse of dangerous drugs in Columbus and Bartholomew County.
