INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 596 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the state laboratory, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 100,394 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 3,144 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of four from the previous day. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 1,551,731 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the state.
Bartholomew County reported 1,092 positive tests (up four) with 54 deaths (no change) on Monday.
Surrounding counties reported:
- Jackson County: 713 positive cases (up cone) with nine deaths (no change).
- Jennings County: 282 positive cases with 12 deaths (no change).
- Decatur County: 429 positive cases (up one) with 38 deaths (up two).
- Shelby County: 638 positive cases (up one) with 28 deaths (no change).
- Johnson County: 2,094 positive cases (up six) with 122 deaths (no change).
- Brown County: 91 positive cases with two deaths (no change).
