The nonprofit YES Cinema at 328 Jackson St. in downtown Columbus will show the film “The Last Shift” beginning Friday. The showtimes are 5:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. The film includes Columbus actor and musician Tim Grimm, who will be on hand Friday and Saturday for a question-and-answer session with the audience.
Grimm’ past movie experience includes roles alongside such stars as Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp, and Russell Crowe.
“We think the locals and friends of Tim will want to come and see Tim on the big screen,” said Randy Allman, executive director of the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center that operates the cinema that is aiming for a financial comeback after a summer closure due the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grimm’s newest music video also will be shown prior to the movie, and some signed movie posters will be given to some audience members. His Americana music is played on folk stations worldwide, and he has regularly toured such countries as Scotland and Ireland.
