INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 1,488 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the state laboratory, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 129,677 the total number of Indiana residents known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 3,515 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 16 from the previous day following corrections to the dashboard. Another 227 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 1,451,391 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 1,440,917 on Wednesday. A total of 2,246,099 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
Bartholomew County reported 1,246 positive tests (up 14) with 57 deaths (no change) on Thursday.
Surrounding counties reported:
Jackson County: 869 positive cases (up six) with 10 deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 334 positive cases (up two) with 13 deaths (no change).
Decatur County: 470 positive cases (up one) with 39 deaths (no change).
Shelby County: 706 positive cases (up three) with 29 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 2,572 positive cases (up 41) with 126 deaths (up one).
Brown County: 112 positive cases (up three) with three deaths (no change).

The testing site in Columbus is located in FairOaks Mall at the former JC Penney location.
The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.
Dates and times may vary, with evening and Saturday appointments available. The phone number is 812-379-1555, Option 1.
Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
