Around Town – October 14

Orchids to …

• making all votes and voters equal by eliminating the Electoral College.

• the indigenous people who were already here and didn’t need to be discovered by Christopher Columbus or anyone else.

• Hannah and Dr. Chaille at Best Friends Animal Clinic for the compassion and kindness you gave us during Hoosier’s sudden illness and passing, from the Niedbalski family.

• senior citizens like me who long ago pegged the federal elected official as a bully out for himself, and are voting to remove him from office.

• the Nasty Women, for choosing such an appropriate name.

• people who know that abolishing the Electoral College would make Los Angeles County stronger than 43 states.

• abortion providers for allowing people to access the legitimate reproductive health care that is abortion.

• everyone who knows “packing the court” means adding justices.

• the president for working hard to save our country and our freedoms and for exposing the virus to be not any worse than the flu.

• all those who hated the seat belt law that saved lives — how many lives could be saved by wearing masks?

• to church leaders who ask what would Jesus do about abortion?

• everyone who sent cards on my 95th birthday, from Ellen Wilson.

• to those who get that “Nasty Women” came from the president calling any strong, independent woman “nasty” so all of us strong, capable, independent women will wear it proudly while we vote to get rid of him.

• people who believe abortion is the ultimate child abuse.

• Viewpoint Books for ordering games and books, from the Perrys, you’re doing a great job.

• Amber Wolf, for all her help, from a grateful Mom, friend and family in Shelby County.

• to the Harrison Lakes Country Club staff for the outstanding food, service and friendship for my 95th birthday last weekend, the cake was really special, from Miss E.

• the federal elected official blaming others for what is going on in this country, who had nothing to do with it, as if he just walked into the situation.

• the federal elected official looking past white officers shooting black men and white teenagers shooting protestors.

• those who do not comprehend that if the majority of Americans live on the East and West coasts then having elections decided by those areas is the will of the majority.

• the federal elected official testing negative for COVID as he will brag about it like a cognitive test.

• the local elected official trying to impress us with his knowledge of constitutional history.

• not knowing you can’t raise taxes $1 trillion without taxing the middle class.

• cock-eyed optimists who think a candidate will finally do something worthwhile after 47 years.

• the federal elected official who holds stock in the company making the concoction that “cured” him, so he will make a huge profit — a gross conflict of interest.

• constitutional originalists who do mental flip-flops to believe “arms” means AK-47s instead of muzzle loaders.

• wasting more taxpayer money on unnecessary bells and whistles at city hall.

• people that worship diversity and inclusiveness but have a special group for everything — can’t we just get along?

• all the people ruining this section with their nonstop political comments.

• teaching our adversaries throughout the world how to kill Americans — introduce a virus and watch them kill each other.

• those called “disgusting” by their own leader, but were politely called “deplorable” by his opponent in an understatement.

• the political party that has the philosophy of the rich getting richer.

• the candidate who said taxes wouldn’t be raised on those making less than $400,000, but they’re going to eliminate the tax breaks under the current administration.

• the person spreading more lies about the federal elected official when he has no idea what the truth really is.

• judge candidate for bias as shown in her response using the term “sexual preference” instead of “sexual orientation,” not accepting we are oriented by nature and have no choice.

• the confused federal candidate who claimed he was running for Senate.

• people who don’t know what the term “court packing” means and are going to vote in ignorance.

• the federal leader who paid some of the folks to attend his White House rally that ignored public health guidelines.

Happy Birthday to …

• Chris Herr, and Rosanne Klakamp, from your families and Donna.

• Kevin Sprague, from Mom and Bonnie.
