With the amount of rainfall received overnight and that is expected this week, the burn ban for Bartholomew County has been lifted.
A disaster emergency proclamation calling for a complete burn ban was issued on Friday. The county commissioners made the deceleration due to ongoing drought conditions.
The ban was instituted after a field fire was reported on Oct. 14 near Elizabethtown.
