As a Christian and public educator, I am writing this letter to encourage support and votes for Dale Nowlin for District 59 State Representative.

God says that if we truly love Him, then we should love everyone like He does. This is how I have seen Dale treat others on all sides of the aisle.

If elected to represent District 59, his actions will show that he cares for all of his constituents, whether they voted for him or not. He holds our environment, jobs, health care, and schools as major concerns.

More importantly, Dale has a big heart, and I know he will use his Christian background and commitment to service to work with both sides at the state house.

Dale recently retired from public education after serving in many distinguishing roles. He even received the nomination by the U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to serve on the National Assessment Governing Board.

Dale understands the need for accountability when it comes to state testing and that ALL schools, private and public, should be held to the same standards. He understands that assessments should be used to inform teachers and parents rather than to punish any involved. Dale understands that the more our state punishes teachers and schools, the fewer new teachers we have entering and staying in the profession.

It is his prestigious background in public education and his Christian heart that first lead me to serve on Dale’s campaign. Come Nov. 3, Dale certainly has my vote.
