The story on Columbus resident Polly Verbanic is that she has been reading to local youngsters so long that many of her Fabulous First Fridays alumni from her story sessions at Viewpoint Books are long out of college now. Even as they have turned the page in their life, Verbanic, known as the Story Lady, makes time at 12:15 p.m. on the first Friday of each month to read to a whole new generation of youngsters at the store at 548 Washington St. in downtown Columbus.
