Letter: Nowlin cares about the community

I want to strongly recommend Dale Nowlin for Indiana State Representative of District 59.

Since July, Dale has been going door-to-door every afternoon and evening. That is how dedicated he is to listening to our community. Dale really listens, with head and heart. He reports a frightening list of concerns including COVID-19, drugs, mental health problems, and underfunded schools.

If there is a way out of our current dysfunction, we need a strategist and long-term thinker — not ego-saving re-election tactics or self-interests.

Dale is a math instructor and demonstrates excellent problem-solving approaches to not only math, but to life issues as well.

He is honest, humble, and caring. He is a strong community and church participant. He taught school for nearly 40 years and was even appointed to a national math instructors’ educational board. He has distinguished himself as an excellent leader and person.

Please vote for this retired teacher who cares strongly about many state and local issues, especially public education needs.
