• Bartholomew County Animal Control Officer Mark Case for going above and beyond with his job.

• the wonderful fifth graders at Richards Elementary School for cheering for the kindergarten kids when they were running in physical education.

• Jess Schnepp and The Crump Kindness Week Team for organizing collecting toothbrushes and toothpaste for Trevor’s Senior Project, from Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center.

• Nasty Women Poll Watchers for standing up for democracy and showing young girls that being a good citizen means standing up and protecting what you believe in.

• the Bartholomew County Nasty Women for being a hard-working group who stepped up to keep our democracy intact by being poll workers and poll watchers.

• counting all the votes, as fundamental to democracy as hearing all the testimony is to justice.

• the very kind and friendly gentleman, who worked the gas pumps/car wash at Sam’s Club on Wednesday morning, from a traveler from North Carolina.

• tearing down the wall of hate on our southern border.

• the lady with the bike and the backpack who picked up mounds of trash near my house just to make the city a little nicer.

• Aaron Miller on his column about great leadership during a pandemic.

• Joe Biden, who will restore steadiness and stability to the White House and is equipped to begin the long, difficult task of putting a fractured country back together again.

• Nellie Meek for dedication to the residents of the small town.

• Jeannine Lake for giving a gracious campaign speech.

• the BCSC school bus drivers for being out there and putting your lives in danger and taking unappreciative parents’ children to school each day.

Onions to …

• the school corporation’s deception and lack of transparency about COVID-19 exposures, contact tracing, class coverage for quarantining, sanitizing, mask wearing and social distancing.

• the pointless road project that has created a traffic and speed nightmare.

• most politicians ignoring you until their next election unless you have campaign money.

• people not realizing all local businesses are essential and should never have been shut down in the first place.

• the United States for becoming a less than desirable place to live.

• the group wanting to promote wellness and fitness and yet handing out donuts.

• those who fill up business trash receptacle with personal items, leaving no space for the business who pays for the dumpster.

• the federal elected official for attacking America’s military service members and their families.

• the justice department and FBI for opening a third investigation into a conspiracy theory that has already been investigated and debunked.

• this administration for performing forced hysterectomies on immigrant women.

• those spreading the falsehood and conspiracy theory that a certain group is a Marxist organization.

• the federal elected official claiming for years that he will have a health plan, which he still does not have, while he is in the courts trying to get rid of the one we do have, covering all citizens for pre-existing conditions.

• the federal elected official who tried to talk about herd immunity, but called it “herd mentality” more than once.

• the parents who keep bashing the school corporations for having school, take your kids home and do e-Learning.
