INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 5,702 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 306,538 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 5,169 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 103 from the previous day. Another 266 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 2,107,744 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,090,728 on Monday. A total of 3,976,683 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
Bartholomew County reported 3,084 positive tests (up 50) with 62 deaths (no change) on Tuesday.

Jackson County: 2,126 positive cases (up 68) with 33 deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 832 positive cases (up 27) with 14 deaths (no change).
Decatur County: 1,246 positive cases (up 11) with 43 deaths (up one).
Shelby County: 1,782 positive cases (up 37) with 54 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 6,231 positive cases (up 90) with 165 deaths (up one).
Brown County: 335 positive cases (up seven) with three deaths (no change).

The testing site in Columbus is located in FairOaks Mall at the former JC Penney location.
The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.
Dates and times may vary, with evening and Saturday appointments available. The phone number is 812-379-1555, Option 1.
Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
