BROWNSTOWN
Kathy Jane Griffin, 75, passed away Tuesday, December 1st at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown, Indiana. Kathy was born December 28, 1944 to Morris and Helen Ira.
She is a graduate of Clearspring High School in Jackson County, Indiana and was a member of the American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Kathy married James “Jim” R. Griffin on May 15, 1987. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2006.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Brian (LeAnn) Sweeney and Bradley Sweeney; grandchildren, Afton Axiom, Brittany (David) Guthrie, and Levi Sweeney; and great-grandson, Harlan Guthrie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jill Drury; and her siblings, Carolyn McCory, Winnie Hill, Sharon Ludwig, William Ira, Harold Ira, and Mary Ann Mann.
A private memorial service will be held Saturday, December 12th at 11:30 a.m. at Ratliff Grove Christian Church. A family graveside ceremony will follow the service at 1 p.m. at Freetown New Cemetery.
Memorial Donations in Kathy’s name may be made to the American Legion Post 24 Boys State or Girls State, or the Ladies Auxiliary.
