Jets knock off Pacers
HOPE — Hauser jumped out to a 13-4 lead after one quarter Saturday and cruised from there to a 43-22 win against Switzerland County.
Bryce Bates led the Jets (4-2) with 19 points.
Crusaders win big
Columbus Christian jumped out to a 40-9 halftime lead and went on to cruise to a 69-20 win against Washington Catholic.
Jacob Conrad led the Crusaders (6-3) with 16 points. Cody Kiefer added 15.
Panthers down Owls
SEYMOUR — Jennings County trailed 10-8 after one quarter before rallying for a 57-38 Hoosier Hills Conference win against Seymour.
Tyler Vogel recorded 10 points and six rebounds, and Keegan Manowitz had 10 points and eight assists to lead the Panthers (4-2, 1-0). Owen Law added nine points.
Lancers take first loss
MONROVIA — Edinburgh led 44-42 after three quarters, but Monrovia rallied to hand the Class A No. 7 Lancers their first loss of the season, a 63-53 defeat.
Travis Jones led the Lancers (2-4) with 13 points. Riley Palmeter added 11.
South Decatur falls
VERSAILLES — Lane Lauderbaugh broke South Decatur’s all-time scoring record, but the Cougars fell to South Ripley 85-78.
Hunter Johnson scored 27 points to lead the Cougars (2-3), who had only seven players available because of COVID-19 and contact tracing. Lauderbaugh finished with 21, and Jacob Scruggs added 14.
Eagles top Trinity
OSGOOD — Trinity Lutheran led 20-17 after one quarter, but Jac-Cen-Del rallied for an 84-66 victory.
Hudson Norton led the Cougars (1-7) with 24 points. Mitchell Hackman scored 14 points, and Tyler Goecker and Sage Broughton each added 10.

No. 2 Panthers top East
INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus East continued its trend of playing close against highly-ranked teams in a 72-60 loss at Class 4A No. 2 North Central. The Panthers are No. 1 in the state in the Sagarin Ratings.
“We played tough to the end,” East coach Danny Brown said. “They are an experienced, tough and talented team. We challenged them for 32 minutes. Proud of my team.”
Maeleigh Roberts led the Olympians (7-5) with 15 points. Koryn Greiwe added 13 points and five assists and Gabby Dean had 12 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots. Saige Stahl and Leah Bachmann each grabbed seven rebounds, and Albany Speer had six assists.
Crusaders down Cardinals
Kayla Jones put up 30 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and eight steals to lead Columbus Christian to a 72-50 win against Washington Catholic.
Madison Henderson added 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the Crusaders (3-1). Sarah Lorimor had 12 points.
Eagles rout Vikings
NASHVILLE — Brown County jumped out to a 38-14 halftime lead and went on to post a 64-33 Western Indiana Conference win against West Vigo.
Abby Fleetwood just missed a triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and seven steals for the Eagles (4-2, 3-1). Anna Fleetwood scored 1 points, and Katie Tipton added nine points.
Tigers tame Lancers
FAIRLAND — Class 2A No. 7 Triton Central jumped out to a 31-16 halftime lead and went on to hand Edinburgh a 68-43 defeat.
Annelise Lollar led the Lancers (3-3) with 20 points. Gracie Crawhorn added 10.

East girls victorious
NEW ALBANY — Columbus East split with New Albany, winning the girls meet 127-40 and dropping the boys contest 104-79.
The Olympian girls captured all 12 events, led by double wins from Karissa Miller in the 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, 8.97 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1:04.98), Marin Wieneke in the 200 individual medley (2:23.75) and 500 freestyle (6:11.36) and Ellie Proffitt in the 50 freestyle (25.64) and 100 freestyle (56.07).
Other winners for the girls were Cloie McDonald in the diving competition (225.35), Caroline Andress in the 100 butterfly (1:14.26) and Josie Havenaar in the 100 breaststroke (1:21.47). East also swept the 200 medley (2:04.71), 200 freestyle (1:51.53) and 400 freestyle (4:15.28) relays.
Brady Beyer led the East boys with wins in the 200 freestyle (1:52.62) and 100 breaststroke (1:02.59). Mason Curry took the 100 butterfly (56.44), and Chad Kelly captured the 100 freestyle (52.01).
Owls sweep Panthers
SEYMOUR — Jennings County fell to Seymour 119-46 in the boys meet and 127-56 in the girls contest.
For the Panther girls, Tatum Brown won the 200 freestyle (2:16.14), and Reagan Brown took the 100 breaststroke (1:14.35). Danny Hoffman captured the boys 100 breaststroke (1:11.69).

Panthers go 2-3 in invite
JEFFERSONVILLE — Jennings County went 2-3 in its own invitational. The Panthers beat West Washington 42-30, fell to Mooresville 61-18, beat Corydon 42-27 and lost to Madison 51-18 and New Albany 47-30.
Zane Ortlieb went 5-0 at 195 pounds to lead Jennings. Braden Isbell (106) went 4-1, and Teagan Trotter (160) went 3-2.
