NORTH VERNON — Jennings County pulled out a 56-50 win against Madison Monday night in a battle for third place in the Hoosier Hills Conference.

Juliann Woodard led the Panthers (6-2, 2-1) with 24 points. Kali Thompson scored 13, and Addyson Kent added eight.

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County swept Salem, winning the boys meet 79-16 and the girls meet 115-48.

Reagan Brown won he 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, 12.70 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.61) and Braylee Moore took the 50 freestyle (27.66) and 100 freestyle (1:01.97) to lead the girls. Other winners were Tatum Brown in the 200 individual medley (2:35.54), Tirzah Nougeras in the 100 butterfly (1:28.16), Kenzie Newkirk in the 500 freestyle (6:54.64), Paige Hoffman in the 100 backstroke (1:20.04) and the 200 medley (2:12.37), 200 freestyle (2:10.83) and 400 freestyle (4:20.75) relays.

For the boys, Danny Hoffman won the 200 IM (2:32.58) and 100 breaststroke (1:20.04), Noah McFall took the 50 freestyle (26.02) and 100 freestyle (56.70) and Jonathan Jones captured the 100 butterfly (1:06.12) and 500 freestyle (6:29.90). Rylan Campbell won the 200 freestyle (2:34.94), Levi Marsh took the 100 backstroke (1:20.04) and the Panthers swept the 200 medley (2:03.44) and 400 freestyle (4:03.38) relays.
