INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 6,288 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 482,734 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 7,391 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 85 from the previous day. Another 339 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 2,572,545 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,556,493 on Wednesday. A total of 5,431,146 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
Bartholomew County reported 5,192 positive tests (up 93) with 78 deaths (no change) as of Thursday
Surrounding counties reported:
Jackson County: 3,601 positive cases (up 34) with 42 deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 1,631 positive cases (up 22) with 28 deaths (no change).
Decatur County: 1,985 positive cases (up 14) with 67 deaths (up two).
Shelby County: 3,178 positive cases (up 43) with 69 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 11,186 positive cases (up 223) with 217 deaths (up one).
Brown County: 658 positive cases (up eight) with eight deaths (no change).

The testing site in Columbus is located in FairOaks Mall at the former JC Penney location.
The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.
Dates and times may vary, with evening and Saturday appointments available. The phone number is 812-379-1555, Option 1.
Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
Windrose Health Network is located at 911 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh. Windrose will also be utilizing a mobile unit at its Hope location. Windrose may be contacted at 317-680-9901.
