North pulls out win

TERRE HAUTE — Reese Harmon fed Cooper Horn for a layup with 10.9 seconds remaining Friday night to lift Columbus North to a 43-42 Conference Indiana win at Terre Haute North.

The Patriots had taken a one-point lead with less than a minute remaining. The Bull Dogs called timeout with about 30 seconds left to set up a play.

“We ran a play, and we executed it to perfection,” Columbus North coach Paul Ferguson said.

The Bull Dogs (6-2, 1-0) led 11-3 early, but found themselves trailing by seven in the third quarter. They cut the lead to 36-35 going into the fourth.

Blake Barker led Columbus North with 15 points. Horn finished with 13.

Jets down Chargers

HOPE — Hauser led by only one point after three quarters before pulling away for a 52-47 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against North Decatur.

Koby Johnson led the Jets (5-6, 0-2) with 17 points. Bryce Bates added 15.

Columbus Christian falls

MADISON — Columbus Christian led 29-23 at halftime, but Christian Academy of Madison rallied for a 61-47 victory.

Jacob Conrad led the Crusaders (7-5) with 21 points. Gabe Ridder added 11.

Braves top Panthers in OT

BROWNSTOWN — Brownstown Central outscored Jennings County 16-10 in overtime to pull out a 59-53 victory.

Keegan Manowitz led the Panthers (5-4) with 17 points and three assists. Carson McNulty and Owen Law each added 10 points.

Mustangs edge Eagles

ELLETTSVILLE — Brown County led by one with a little more than a minute remaining, but Edgewood pulled out a 49-47 Western Indiana Conference win.

Abby Fleetwood led the Eagles (5-3, 3-2) with 21 points. Anna Fleetwood added 11.
