Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. is continuing hybrid learning for its secondary schools through the month of January.

This decision, which is based of current COVID-19 community spread data, was announced by the school corporation Thursday afternoon.

“The use of this model will again be evaluated on Thursday, Jan. 28 for a potential change on Monday, Feb. 1,” the statement added.

On Jan. 5, BCSC began the new semester with five days of in-person learning for elementary school students and hybrid learning for secondary students. Virtual options are also still available.

The hybrid learning schedule splits students into two groups by last name. Secondary students with surnames A-K attend in person on Monday and Tuesday and do eLearning Wednesday through Friday. Secondary students L-Z do eLearning Monday through Wednesday and attend in person Thursday and Friday.

BCSC’s statement can be viewed on its Facebook page.
