Sharon Ogle, 77, of Columbus, passed away at 7:46 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home.
Sharon was born December 17, 1943, in Freetown, Indiana, the daughter of Lawrence and Faye Hunter Waggoner. On October 17, 1965, she married Jerry Lee Ogle.
Mrs. Ogle always held several jobs, at one time, throughout her life. She will be remembered as being friendly and loving to those she knew, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon’s philosophy in life was, “simple is always better”.
Survivors include her children, Vina (Mark) Schrelick, Patrick (Kathy) Ogle, Jerry (Angie) Ogle; grandchildren, William (Courtney) Wright, Anthony (Kalee) Wright, Jordan (Grayson Barnes) Ogle, Courtney (Luke) Galle, Kyle (Tabitha) Ogle; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Smith, Annette Kimberlin, all of Columbus, Lonnie (Margaret) Waggoner of North Vernon, Keith Waggoner, also of Columbus, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; daughter, Rachael Diane Ogle, eleven brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Mike Fields officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Due to pandemic restrictions, we are limited to 50 people in our funeral home. We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
