Two Johnson County men arrested in Edinburgh robbery

EDINBURGH — A pair of Johnson County men are in jail after an arranged gun sale turned into an armed robbery.

Stormy Lee Neville, 22, of New Whiteland, and Damien Blaze Morical Jones, 20, of Greenwood, both face felony charges for their roles in the robbery.

Neville was arrested on charges of robbery, a Level 3 felony, possession of a handgun, a Level 5 felony, and pointing a firearm, a Level 6 felony.

Jones was arrested on a felony robbery charge.

Neville and Jones on Sunday went to the 600 block of South Pleasant Street in Edinburgh, where a resident intended to sell his gun and possibly buy another from the duo, according to an Edinburgh Police Department news release.

When they arrived, Neville took the victim’s gun, pointed it at his head and asked him to leave, refusing to return the weapon or pay for it, according to the news release. Jones kept the money the victim gave him for a gun they intended to sell but refused to hand over the firearm, the news release said.

Neville had just spent a year in prison for possession of methamphetamine and driving without a license. He was released in December, according to online court records.

Neville is being held at the Johnson County jail on $41,000 bond, and Jones is being held on $32,000 bond.
