Panthers down Devils
JEFFERSONVILLE — Jennings County tuned up for tonight’s Hoosier Hills Conference showdown at Columbus East with a 61-53 win Wednesday at Jeffersonville.
The Panthers (12-5, 4-1) led 36-26 at halftime before seeing their lead cut to 42-39 after three quarters. Jennings hit 9 of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Juliann Woodard scored 21 points to lead Jennings. Lily Ernstes scored 15, and Addyson Kent added 13.
Eagles fall to Braves
TRAFALGAR — Brown County was within 10-7 after one quarter, but Indian Creek extended the lead to 32-17 at halftime and went on to post a 67-46 Western Indiana Conference victory.
Abby Fleetwood led the Eagles (5-4, 3-3) with 19 points. Katie Tipton scored 11, and Anna Fleetwood added 10.
