COLUMBUS, INDIANA
It was on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. that Helen E. Stoner fell into the arms of our Heavenly Father.
She was the daughter of Douglas and Lena Hawley. She was born April 1, 1923, she was 97.
Helen was married to Burley Stoner on August 6, 1940. They were happily married 57 years before his passing in 1997.
She was a proud mother of four, Lori Browning, John (Trish) Stoner, Steve Stoner and Carol Chapman (d.) and an adopted son by love, Larry (Mary) Baldwin.
Helen was a member of the First Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was quite the bowler and often carried an average of 181.
Helen had many other blessings, eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Helen’s wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest on the family plot at Garland Brook Cemetery. There are not services planned at this time, a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home and Crematory.
