Cougars topple Jets

GREENSBURG — South Decatur jumped out to a 42-19 halftime lead Friday and remained unbeaten in the Mid-Hoosier Conference with an 87-54 win against Hauser.

Hunter Johnson led the Cougars (8-5, 4-0) with 24 points. Evan Wullenweber scored 16, Jacob Scruggs and Tyler Sporleder each had 14 and Lane Lauderbaugh added 11.

Bryce Bates and Koby Johnson each scored 14 points (8-8, 2-3) to lead the Jets. Clayton West added 10.

Crusader reaches milestone

Junior Gabe Ridder scored 24 points to go over the 1,000 mark for his career and lead Columbus Christian to a 83-46 win against Community Baptist.

Jacob Conrad scored 10 points for the Crusaders (13-9). Nathan DeFriece and Parker Walden each added eight.

Lancers down Jackets

EDINBURGH — Class A No. 6 Morristown rallied from a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to tie the game, but Class A No. 7 Edinburgh scored the game’s final six points to pull out a 48-42 win in a battle of MHC unbeatens.

Isaac Roberts led the Lancers (13-4, 5-0) with 19 points. Travis Jones added 15.

Trinity tops Tigers

CROTHERSVILLE — Trinity Lutheran trailed Crothersville 26-24 at halftime before rallying for a 64-47 victory.

Hudson Norton led the Cougars (5-10) with 17 points. Tyler Goecker and Jack Marksberry each scored 13, and Mitchel Hackman added 10.
