Patberg scores 15 in Hoosiers’ 800th all-time win

BLOOMINGTON — Ali Patberg scored 15 points Sunday to help Indiana University to its 800th women’s basketball victory in program history, a 79-67 Big Ten triumph against Michigan State.

Patberg, a senior from Columbus North, went 4 of 8 from the field, including 1 of 3 from 3-point range, and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line. She added six rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes for the 16th-ranked Hoosiers (10-3, 8-2), who overcame an eight-point halftime deficit.

Mackenzie Holmes led Indiana with 17 points. Aleksa Gulbe scored 14 points, Jaelynn Penn added 13 points and Grace Berger added nine points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

The Big Ten has rescheduled the Hoosiers’ home game against Rutgers for 8 p.m. Thursday. The game will be shown on the Big Ten Network.
