ELIZABETHTOWN
Catherine J. Staublin, 62, a resident of Elizabethtown, Indiana, passed from this life at 6:08 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Staublin was born October 13, 1958, in Freeport, Illinois, the loving daughter of John and Kathryn Porter Donaher. On November 29, 1980, Catherine married David M. Staublin; he survives.
Mrs. Staublin earned her nursing degree from the University of Evansville. She has been a registered nurse for 45 years at the Bartholomew County Hospital and Columbus Regional Hospital. For many years, she was a floor nurse and most recently she was a nurse in Cardio Diagnostics.
Mrs. Staublin was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus and she always looked forward to spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, David; children, Michael (Marlena) Staublin of Wilmington, North Carolina, Benjamin (Kait) Staublin of Indianapolis and Mary Staublin of Louisville, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Abigail and Isabell Staublin of Wilmington, North Carolina.
Mrs. Staublin was preceded in death by her parents, John and Kathryn Donaher and her sister, Dr. Patricia Roberts.
A private family funeral service will be held at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home; the Reverend Howard Boles will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Staublin will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
