Join the Bartholomew County Public Library’s Builder’s Guild and participate in building challenges, exchange ideas, and share your creations in the virtual headquarters. For this month’s challenge we will be celebrating the Lunar New Year on Feb. 12 by building the zodiac animal of the year: the ox. PERSONALIZED STORYTIME-TODDLERS, PRESCHOOLERS, AND KIDS, Feb. 1 to 8, virtual. Receive a special storytime made just for your little one from the Bartholomew County Public Library. Each storytime includes a personal greeting to your child. From Feb. 1 to 8, fill out the survey at mybcpl.org/kids to sign up for a personalized storytime. A link to your storytime video will arrive via email within two weeks.
YOUNGEST ARTISTS TAKE AND MAKE: AGES 1-5, Feb. 1 to 16. Process art helps our youngest artists develop important skills by exploring art in a playful way. Register before Feb. 17 at mybcpl.org under “Events” to reserve your kit. Kits will be available for pick up via curbside on Feb. 18. Late registrants are not guaranteed a kit.

BLACKWELL PARK STORYWALK, Feb. 1 to 28. “Groundhug Day,” by Anne Marie Pace and illustrated by Christopher Denise. The StoryWalk is located along the People Trail near the Pollinator Park. The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS STORYWALK, Feb. 1 to 28. This February, you can read “While We Can’t Hug,” by Eoin McLaughlin and illustrated by Polly Dunbar in the shop windows of downtown Columbus. The story begins in the window of Hoosier Sporting Goods at 611 Washington Street. Follow the windows south to Third Street, and then head north to Viewpoint books. Stop by the library when you are finished for a “Make a Hug” kit to create a mail-able paper hug. Available while supplies last, no registration required.

YELLOW TRAIL MUSEUM/VISITOR CENTER, west side of Hope Town Square at 644 Main St., Hope. The board recently announced the museum would be closed for the season until the first full week of April 2021. This also includes the “Sunday Socials,” which typically meet the first Sunday of each month. ATTERBURY-BAKALAR AIR MUSEUM, located at Columbus Municipal Airport, 4742 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus, is currently closed for winter upgrades. The museum will reopen in March of 2021.
