COLUMBUS
Steven Edwin Cain, 71, of Columbus, died at 12:34 am, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his residence.
Steve was born June 17, 1949 in Columbus, the son of Edwin and Norma Colleen (Shultz) Cain. He married Jean R. (Irvine) Cain on September 26, 1986.
Steve worked for Cummins in Marketing from 1968-1989. He also worked at NTN for over 25 years. Steve enjoyed traveling to places such as Hawaii and Alaska with his wife of 34 years. He worked for the Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corporation at Hauser in the maintenance department until his passing. A man of many talents, Steve loved working on his 1962 Austin Healey and his motorcycle. Camping was another favorite hobby for this hard working, family man. Steve will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
In keeping with Steve’s wishes, no services will be planned. Memorials may be made to the Hauser High School Athletic Department, The American Cancer Society and the American Legion post #24 through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Brian (Kelly) Cain, Jeff (Jill) Baker all of Columbus, Corey (Ronda) Cain of Seymour, Nathan (Ellen) Cain of Taylorsville; a daughter, Becky (Jerry) Schoen of Columbus; a sister, Gail Cain of Columbus; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark Cain.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
