Panthers down Highlanders
NEW ALBANY — Jennings County and Floyd Central were tied 22-22 after three quarters, but the Panthers took control in the fourth for 44-32 victory in the Class 4A New Albany Sectional semifinals.
Kali Thompson scored 12 points to lead the Panthers (16-6), who will face Bedford North Lawrence in the final at 6 p.m. today.
Eagles oust Wildcats
ELLETTSVILLE — Brown County defeated South Vermillion 44-33 in the Class 3A Edgewood Sectional semifinals.
The Eagles (9-6) move on to take on Brownstown Central in the final at 7 p.m. today.
Trinity tops Hilltoppers
EDINBURGH — Class A No. 1 Trinity Lutheran led Shawe Memorial 47-7 at the half and rolled to an 86-23 victory in the Class A Edinburgh Sectional semifinala.
Bailey Tabeling finished 24 points and seven steals, and Sydney Jaynes added 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Cougars (19-4), who will face West Washington in the final at 7 p.m. today.
Cougars fall to Raiders
VERSAILLES — South Decatur trailed 41-18 at halftime and couldn’t recover for a 64-29 season-ending loss in the Class 2A South Ripley Sectional semifinala.
The Cougars end the season 6-16.
