Northside and Jennings County captured the Tri County seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball titles Saturday at Columbus North High School.
The Northside seventh-graders beat Seymour 50-23 in the semifinals and Central 42-32 in the final. Central edged Jennings 33-30 in overtime in the other semifinal.
In the eighth-grade tourney, Jennings beat Central 47-42 in the semifinals and Northside 53-47 in the final. Northside topped Seymour 45-26 in the other semifinal.
Carter Kent led the Panthers with 29 points in the semifinals, and Logan Napier scored 17 points, and Kent added 14 in the title game. Foster Long and Ben Stevens each had 14 for the Spartans in the final.
