Debris from semi load causes flat tires on I-65 near Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Indiana State Police, Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies and Columbus police are cleaning up I-65 after a semi lost part of its load, leaving debris from the 68 mile marker at State Road 46 north to the 70 mile marker.

Steel parts in the roadway caused about 20 vehicles to have flat tires along the interstate, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman. INDOT is also at the scene clearing the debris from the roadway.
