Olivet Nazarene’s Alex Gross has been named the NAIA National Player of the Week.
Gross, a junior from Hauser, recorded 19 points and 13 rebounds in a Feb. 10 win against St. Ambrose. In that game, he became the 45th player in Olivet history to reach 1,000 career points. Gross added a career-high 35 points and 15 rebounds in Saturday’s win against Roosevelt.
Gross leads the Tigers with nine double-doubles this season. Olivet is 11-3 overall and 10-1 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
