Keith Howard Miller, age 69, of Columbus Indiana, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, February 19, 2021 with his wife and daughters by his side.

Keith was born September 3, 1951 and was the son of Marian (Slusser) and Edward Miller. He was married to his wife, Teri Hildebrand (Miller) for 43 years.

He was a 1969 graduate of Tiskilwa High School in Tiskilwa, Illinois. Keith continued his education at IVCC and Southern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education and later completed his Masters Degree at DePaul University in Chicago.

Keith taught in the Chicago public school system from 1973 to 1982. In 1982, he and his wife relocated to Columbus, Indiana where he became a Sales Representative for The Pharmacist Mutual Insurance Company retiring in 2011 after 28 years.

Keith was a member of First United Methodist Church, Timbergate Golf Course, AA, and also volunteered at the jail to help inmates with their recovery.

Keith was truly one in a million and a friend to so many. He had a warm smile and an incredible wit and sense of humor. He knew no stranger and touched many peoples’ lives. He was the life of the party who loved music, dancing, and took great pride in his ostrich impression. If you knew him you have a story! He was an avid fan of all sports and was a Chicago Bears season ticket holder. Golf, Da Bears, Indy 500, the Cubs, traveling, and being among friends were some of his favorites.

He loved spending time with his family, attending hometown celebrations with friends, entertaining his grandchildren with his drone, and just hanging out. His grandchildren were a shining part of his life and being their Papa meant the world to him . He cherished his time with them and could not wait to share yet another of his antics with them. Spending time with his daughters, sons-in-law, brother, sisters, and their extended families was extremely important to him. He looked forward to planning the festivities for the family get-togethers.

Survivors include his loving family, his wife, Teri (Hildebrand) Miller, of Columbus, Indiana; two daughters and their spouses, Brittany (Miller) and Luke Tucker of Greenfield, Indiana and Terynn (Miller) and Zach Stewart of New Albany, Indiana; and his four beautiful grandchildren, Cora (Cora Borealis- Papa’s nickname) (5), and Emma (3) Tucker, Posey (6) and Wells (3) Stewart; and grand dog, Henri Stewart; his sisters; Wanda (Chuck) Jurgensen of Honesdale, PA, Peggy Bruck of Parker, CO, and Karen Miller of Asheville, NC; a brother, Richard (Carla) Miller of St. Petersburg, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
