BOYS BASKETBALL

Crusaders claim victory

Columbus Christian jumped out to a 20-9 lead after one quarter Tuesday night and went on to post a 76-68 win against Living Water Homeschool on senior night.

Jacob Conrad led the Crusaders (20-14) with 17 points. Gabe Ridder scored 16 points, Drew Robison added a career-high 12 in his final home game, and Owen Reed had nine.

Jets fall to Tigers

FAIRLAND — Hauser was within 26-18 at halftime, but Triton Central pulled away for a 56-37 victory.

Bryce Bates led the Jets (8-12) with 11 points.

Panthers down Warriors

SCOTTSBURG — Jennings County led only 32-29 after three quarters before pulling away for a 50-42 win at Scottsburg.

Jacob Vogel led the Panthers (12-9) with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Keegan Manowitz added 10 points, and Justin Ramey grabbed 11 rebounds.

Lancers stop Sparkplugs

EDINBURGH — Class A No. 7 Edinburgh built an 11-point lead after three quarters and held on for a 63-58 win against Speedway.

Travis Jones led the Lancers (17-5) with 18 points. Chase Littlejohn scored 15, Isaac Roberts added 11 and Noah Detling had nine.

Cougars tame Twisters

GREENSBURG — South Decatur jumped out to a 20-6 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 76-58 win against Oldenburg Academy.

Lane Lauderbaugh led the Cougars (13-7) with 17 points, while Jacob Scruggs scored 14 and Evan Wullenweber added 12. Hunter Johnson returned from a broken wrist and scored eight points.

Bulldogs handle Eagles

MONROVIA — Brown County was within 23-15 at halftime, but Monrovia pulled away for a 60-31 victory.

Dalton Hedrick led the Eagles (1-12) with seven points.

Trinity tops Pirates

SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran led only 33-31 at halftime before pulling away for an 80-67 victory against Charlestown.

Tyler Goecker scored 21 points, and Mitchell Hackman added 20 to lead the Cougars (8-13). Jacob Sabotin and Jack Marksberry each finished with 17.

Kayla Jones led the Crusaders (8-5) with 17 points, 16 rebounds and three steals, and Sarah Lorimor added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kinidy Morgan scored 12 points, Madi Blair grabbed six rebounds and Emily Stair had five rebounds.
