COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Doris Jean “Jeanie” Thompson, 65, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at 8:48 a.m. February 17, 2021, at her residence.
Doris was born March 19th, 1955 in Columbus, Indiana. the daughter of Carl Stevens and Phyllis G. Bullock Stevens.
Doris was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Taylorsville. She enjoyed cooking, baking, cleaning, watching NASCAR and was a Colts fan.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. March 2nd, 2021 at Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Collett and Rev. B.J. Riley officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday March 1st, 2021, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Thompson of Columbus; a brother, Jerry “Chuck” (Debbie) Stevens of Columbus; sisters Debra (Jeff) Boles of Columbus, Tonya R. (Terrill) Paradise of Columbus; grandchildren Natasha Mullins, Casey Underwood and Levi Underwood; as well as 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jeffery L. Stevens; a sister, Margaret E. Stevens as well as a great grandson, Westly Underwood
