COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Barbara A. Weekly, 76, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 4:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Columbus Transitional Care and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Weekly was born January 7, 1945, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the loving daughter of Marshall and Mary Leaser Combs. On May 31, 1990, Barbara married Marvin Weekly; he preceded her in death April 24, 1999.
Mrs. Weekly retired from Lear in Edinburgh after several years of service and she was a member of the Columbus Moose Lodge No. 398.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, DeeDee (Scott) Haymaker of Lake Wales, Florida and Barry (Tonia) Medaris of Columbus; grandchildren, Benjamin Haymaker, Jacob Haymaker, Christopher (Ashley) Zeigler and Reagan Medaris; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Maddix Zeigler; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Weekly was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Mary Combs; husband, Marvin; brothers, David and Jim Combs; and sister, Jean Combs.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Shiloh Separate Baptist Church Cemetery, 11025 West Georgetown Road, Columbus, Indiana 47201. There will be no public visitation. Due to pandemic restrictions, we do ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines and masks are required at the cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home and Crematory.
