St. Bartholomew Catholic School will host a luminary event at about 6 p.m. today near the school.
Each student has been given a luminary bag to create with photos, prayers or other items that remind them of Helen Heckman, who was St. Bartholomew principal, who died Feb. 4.
The community, school families and parishioners are invited to walk or drive by the tribute today. School students will start the day today with a school Mass in celebration of Heckman’s life.
