Two Columbus East High School students earned the highest points in the Youth Leadership Bartholomew County scholarship competition. Hope Durnil and Marin Wieneke are the scholarship winners.
A total of 9,000 will be awarded in scholarships, with 20 additional monetary awards distributed to students with the best resume and top essay.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Youth Leadership Bartholomew County Class of 2021 luncheon has been canceled.
A casual open house for award winners and their families is planned at The Commons on Saturday.

Among the honorees for favorite essay are Alyssa Ayers, Blake Barker, Anna Combs, Andrea Contreras, Emma Edwards, Sarah Montanez Hildago, Reagan Lykins, Margaret O’Connor, Evyana Polya and Wieneke.
Favorite resume honorees are Margo Brunner, Brock Burbrink, Durnil, Luke Enneking, Tamara Essex, Awadhoot Ghatge, Emily Herndon, Hidalgo, Madeline Romanski and Hannah Stair.
