DAYTON, Tenn. — Columbus Christian’s boys and girls basketball teams both posted victories on Thursday and will play today for Division 6 consolation bracket titles at the National Association of Christian Athletes Tournament.
The Crusader boys beat Tennessee Christian Prep 58-55. Gabe Ridder and Jacob Conrad each scored 20 points.
Conrad went over 1,000 point mark for his career, joining fellow junior Ridder, who accomplished that feat earlier in the season.
Columbus Christian plays Mountview Christian from Alabama at noon today.
Meanwhile, the Crusader girls jumped out to a 12-2 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 38-33 win over Jordan from Florida.
Sarah Lorimor led Columbus Christian (9-6) with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Kayla Jones added 14 points, 11 rebounds and four steals.
The Crusaders play New Life Christian at 11 a.m. today.
