BCSC reporting 580 cases

Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. officials reported Friday that since August, the school corporation has had 580 positive COVID cases. Of this number, 353 have been students, 160 have been staff and 67 have been teachers.

The reported cases are as follows, by building:

Administration Building: Seven staff (7)

Busy Bees: Eight staff, two teachers (10)

Central: 24 students, four staff, two teachers (30)

Clifty Creek: Three students, eight staff, eight teachers (19)

CSA Fodrea: Five students, four staff, two teachers (11)

CSA Lincoln: Eight students, three staff, one teacher (12)

CSA New Tech: 22 students, two staff, two teachers (26)

East: 67 students, 13 staff, five teachers (85)

ISC: Seven staff (7)

McDowell/Bright Beginnings: Eight students, seven staff, two teachers (17)

Mt. Healthy: Nine students, two staff, six teachers (17)

North: 110 students, 24 staff, 12 teachers (146)

Northside: 22 students, seven staff, three teachers (32)

Parkside: 18 students, 12 staff, five teachers (35)

Richards: 14 students, three staff, one teacher (18)

Rockcreek: Five students, four staff, three teachers (12)

Schmitt: Five students, six staff, three teachers (14)

Smith: 10 students, two staff, two teachers (14)

Southside: 14 students, eight staff, five teachers (27)

T&M: 24 staff (24)

Taylorsville: Nine students, five staff, three teachers (17)

In addition, the COVID-19 Community Task Force’s latest community spread update, posted Thursday, showed that the per capita rate is 13.3.

BCSC began the new semester with hybrid learning for secondary students and in-person learning for elementary students. Middle schools returned to in-person the week of Feb. 22, and high schools will return on the week of March 22.
