Adult softball signups scheduled for today
Columbus Softball Association will hold signups for its adult leagues from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Old Shoe Sensation store in Fair Oaks Mall.
There will be leagues for Men’s (Mondays); Men’s, Coed, 40+ and Wood Bat (Tuesdays); Women’s (Wednesdays); Coed and Seniors (55+) (Thursdays) and Coed (Fridays).
Team fees are $615. Roster and $315 are needed to register a team, with the balance will be due by the second week of the season.

Tipton Lakes to host pickleball tournament
Tipton Lakes Athletic Club will host the Inaugural Columbus Spring Open Pickleball Tournament Saturday and March 21.
More than 200 people were registered in 2020, but it had to canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s event has 218 players registered from six states.
Divisions are Men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Each event has five different skill round robin draws (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0).

CC to host All-Area All-Star Games
After a one-year absence, Columbus Christian will host the All-Area All-Star Games this year, featuring players from The Republic All-Area boys and girls basketball teams.
The girls game will be at 5:30 p.m. March 22. The boys game will follow at around 7 p.m.
Upcoming golf outing to benefit Humane Society
The Golf Outing for the Humane Society will be at 1 p.m. March 27 at Otter Creek. Lunch will be at noon.
Entry fee is $50 per person (cash or check only), with mulligans available for purchase.

Youth can register for shooting sports program
The Hoosier Hills Rifle and Pistol Club is once again hosting a shooting sports program for boys and girls ages 13 to 18.
Youth will learn gun safety, marksmanship skills, and earn skill awards using 22-caliber rifles shooting at paper targets at an outdoor range. Certified instructors and coaches are provided.
