COLUMBUS
Edna F. Basham, 105, of Columbus, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Edna was born February 21, 1916, in Breathitt, County, Kentucky, the daughter of Carl and Lillian Brewer Rudd.
Mrs. Basham loved the Lord Jesus, life and her family. She attended Parkside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Ada McNulty of Columbus and Juanita Lawton of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Charleen Zimmerman of Parkton, North Carolina, Jim (Toni) NcNulty of Elizabethtown, Indiana, Dave (Pam) McNulty of Scipio, Indiana, June (Kenny) Barnes of Bristow, Indiana, Paula (Edward) Lynn of Charlestown, Indiana, Marlene (Joe) Fry of Scottsburg, Indiana, Sue (Roger) Cruse of Elizabeth, Indiana, Keith Thomas of Florida and Craig Thomas of Florida; 15 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; 3 great-great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Thomas; second husband, Paul Basham; son, Carl Thomas; several brothers and sisters.
In keeping with the family’s request, cremation will take place and a private inurnment service will be held at the Garland Brook Mausoleum Chapel; Dr. William E. Bailey will officiate.
