COLUMBUS, Ind. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractor L.P. plans to close State Road 11 on or after Monday, March 29, to begin work on the first of two small structure replacement projects in Bartholomew County.
The first structure is located approximately 3.5 miles north of I-65 over an unnamed tributary to Thompson Slough (just south of County Road 850S). State Road 11 is expected to close for around two weeks at this location with an official detour route of State Road 46 to I-65.
The second structure is located approximately 4.5 miles north of I-65, also over an unnamed tributary to Thompson Slough (north of County Road 800S). State Road 11 will close for around two weeks at this location following completion of the first. The official detour will be the same for both closures.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
