Gaylor Electric has been honored for its work on the Amazon Project Rose, receiving a national Excellence in Construction Eagle Award (EIC), presented during ABC Convention 2021 in Grapevine, Texas. The EIC awards program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for their world-class, safe, and innovative construction projects.
This project received first place in the Electrical Construction over $10 million category. It is the company’s 10th National Eagle award, said Rob Griffith, chief operating officer of performance excellence.
Project Rose is a four-story, 2.65 million square-foot Amazon robotic distribution warehouse located in Spokane, Washington. The warehouse includes robotics storage platforms, processing conveyor levels, and multiple offices spaces. Gaylor Electric delivered complete power distribution, emergency power infrastructure, over 9,000 light fixtures, 600 workstations, 70 charging stations for the robotics equipment, and fire alarm & radio amplification life-safety systems.
The national EIC award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect, and engineer.
