COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. band directors are beginning registration for new students for next year’s sixth grade beginning band, which typically includes between 100 and 200 students from all elementary schools.
Sign-up is now underway and is open to all current fifth-grade students who would like to learn flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or percussion — no previous experience is required. The band directors will meet all new students in like-instrument classes for the first time during a free one-week Summer Band Camp at Columbus North High School.
Parents select one of these weeks to attend:
Week 1: June 1 to June 4; 8:45 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Week 2: June 7 to June 11; 9 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.
Week 3: Monday, June 14 to June 18; 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Parents and students should visit us at bcscbands.org for more information and to complete the registration process.
