The city’s chipper and yard waste program begins Monday.
Yard waste toters and stacked brush will be collected the day of a city resident’s regular trash collection. Toters and stacked brush need to be out by 7 a.m. on the resident’s trash day.
Those who are new to composting and wish to participate should purchase a black/green “Toter” from Lowe’s Home Improvement on 10th Street in Columbus. An armful of sticks or twigs may go into a brown trash toter each week. Tree limbs or wood should not go into the yard waste toter.
