COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man was arrested after an alert about a suspicious person in the area of North U.S. 31 and Woodland Parks Drive at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Sellers responded to the area and located a male subject and recognized him as Isaiah Perry, 32, Columbus, who had an outstanding Bartholomew County arrest warrant, deputies said.

Sellers placed Perry under arrest and located narcotics paraphernalia and a digital scale in a bag in his possession, deputies said. Sellers also located suspected methamphetamine, found in a jacket, that the suspect had apparently dropped near a residence in the area.
