The United Way of Bartholomew County has openings for residential projects for its Day of Caring volunteer effort.
Day of Caring is an annual event where volunteers fan out at dozens of nonprofit agencies and homes across the county to spend the day completing service projects.
Volunteers are available to go to homes of senior citizens or physically challenged residents. Typical residential projects include debris clean up, landscaping, painting, power washing and ramp building.
This year’s Day of Caring is May 21. Volunteers will follow health protocols to ensure the safety of every person at each site.
