SAN ANTONIO — Tyler Duncan carded a 1-over-par 73 in Thursday’s opening round and is tied for 57th place in the Valero Texas Open.
Duncan, a 2008 Columbus North graduate, shot 2-under 34 on the front and 3-over 39 on the back at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course.
Camilo Villegas leads the tournament at 8-under 64. Sung Kang and Cameron Trinagle are two shots back at 6-under 66, while Jordan Spieth, Seung-Yul No and Hideka Matsuyama are three back at 5-under 67.
