Schaffer hearing moved back to April 21

WASHINGTON — Jon R. Schaffer’s detention hearing scheduled for April 6 has been moved to April 21 at 10 a.m.

The order was signed by United States District Court for the District of Columbia Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell on Monday.

Schaffer, 53, Edinburgh is being held without bond. He faces six federal charges in connection to the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 3 at 1 p.m.
