Rookses earn Hoosier wrestling awards
BLOOMINGTON — Columbus East graduates Graham and Cayden Rooks have earned awards for this year’s Indiana University wrestling program.
Graham Rooks has been named co-Wrestler of the Year, along with D.J. Washington. Cayden Rooks has been selected Most Improved.
Graham and Cayden Rooks, both sophomores, competed in last month’s NCAA Championships.
Meyer picks up win, save for Evansville
PEORIA, Ill. — Jakob Meyer earned a win and a save last weekend in Evansville’s Missouri Valley Conference baseball victories at Bradley.
Meyer, a freshman from Columbus North, has allowed only one run all season. He is 3-0 with a 0.61 ERA, with 19 strikeouts and seven walks in 14.2 innings pitched.
